Alison Covington is the new Assistant Principal at South Greenville this school year. She has been in administration for 4 years and in education for 13 years. She was a middle school math and science teacher in Pitt County and in Brooklyn, New York before becoming a Principal Fellow and completing her Masters degree is School Administration. She's passionate about education because she believes that, by setting high expectations, all of our children can grow into scholars an productive citizens. She is very excited to work alongside the students, staff, parents and communities that make up South Greenville this school year. She's proud to be a Cheetah!
Mrs. Nina Pike Wiggs is joining South Greenville Elementary School as the Dean of Students. An educator for 21 years, she earned a Master of Arts in Education Degree from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Executive Leadership Studies from Gardner-Webb University. Mrs. Wiggs completed her Administrative internship with Benvenue Elementary School in Rocky Mount and recently served as an Instructional Coach in Tarboro. Mrs. Wiggs earned her AIG certification through ECU and received the Bachelors in Elementary Education Degree from NC Wesleyan College. She taught elementary students in Nash and Edgecombe Counties specializing in English Language Arts and Social Studies. A native eastern North Carolinian married to Mr. Joe Wiggs, Mrs. Wiggs treasures spending time with their family. She also enjoys traveling, attending church, learning about current events, and writing. Mrs. Wiggs states, "It is a blessing to have the opportunity to be a part of Pitt County Schools, and specifically the South Greenville Elementary School Community. I am looking forward to meeting the students, and to working with the various stakeholders here. I have high expectations for a successful year for all."
